Dr. Thomas Hunt is a board certified and university affiliated orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Hunt also has a subspecialty certification in surgery of the hand. He specializes in hand, wrist, and forearm disorders, hand and wrist injuries in performing artists and athletes, arthritic deformities of the hand and wrist, and neuropathies and nerve compressions to the upper extremities. Continuously involved in researching new treatment techniques for his patients, Dr. Hunt is wholly concerned with proving the best care.
Dr. Hunt completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University and continued on to study medicine at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Hunt finished his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center and then attended a fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hunt currently serves as a Professor and the Chairman of the Joseph Barnhart Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine. As an educator, a researcher, and a top class physician, Dr. Hunt has the unique ability of being able to perfect the balance between educating the patient and providing top class treatment. His ongoing research and commitment to continuing education has led him to be a visiting professor at many well known medical schools throughout the United States, as well as a contributor to digital publications, articles and books.
