John Caridi

Dr. John Caridi is a neurological surgeon practicing in New York City who specializes in complex spine surgeries and spinal deformities. As well as being a member of the medical faculty, Dr. Caridi is also an assistant professor in the Departments of Neurosurgery and Orthopedics at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Caridi focuses on complex spine surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, revision spine surgery, kyopsis, scoliosis, and other spinal deformities. Dr. Caridi is also well-versed in research, leading research on the factors influencing the outcomes of neurologic deficits due to spinal diseases. He runs two clinical trials investigating the outcomes of using diffusion tensor imaging in cervical spondylotic myelopathy and the recovery from neurologic deficits caused by spine pathology.

Practicing for 13 years, Dr. Caridi is a member of both the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He was also a visiting surgeon at the Moi University Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya, where he taught the local physicians and medical students.
