Dr. James F. Holland is a board certified internist and medical oncologist in New York City with many years of experience in his field. He specializes in chemotherapy and breast cancer, and also treats conditions such as Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Bone Cancer, Hodgkin's Disease and Colon Cancer. Beyond treating his patients, Dr. Holland is known worldwide for his cancer research and treatment. One of his greatest accomplishments was when he created the first combination chemotherapy program in the country in 1953 when working with the National Cancer Institute.
Dr. Holland graduated from medical school at Columbia University, received his internal medicine residency training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and completed his internal medicine training at Francis Delafield Hospital.
Dr. Holland is a distinguished professor of oncological sciences, and also works at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, teaching hematology and medical oncology. Additionally, he has received several awards including for being One of America's Leading Experts in Leukemia and Breast Cancer and Castle Connolly's America's Top Doctors.
