Mark Klion

Dr. Mark Klion is a board certified orthopedic surgeon practicing in New York, New York. He is a sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and reconstructive shoulder and knee surgery specialist and a clinical instructor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Klion has been practicing for over 25 years and treats a wide variety of conditions including fractures, dislocations, sprains, osteoarthritis, spinal stenosis, and scoliosis to name a few. He is also an expert in spinal surgery, shoulder surgery, and ankle and wrist problems.

Dr. Klion implements the most advanced techniques for arthroscopic knee and shoulder reconstruction and is an orthopedic consultant for the Triathlon Academy and Excel Triathlon Team. Fluent in Spanish, Polish, and English, Dr. Klion publishes influential orthopedic research on the topics of the shoulder, knee and sports injuries. He is an endurance runner and has competed in several triathlons and long distance races, so he understands from first hand experience the orthopedic problems athletes face in the face of competition.

On top of his practice, Dr. Klion is the creator of BodyworksMD, a physician-guided DVD series focusing on physical therapy for athletes and non-athletes, and has been the co-medical director for the NYC Triathlon since 2008.
