Dr. Abilash Haridas is a neurosurgeon with a specialty in pediatric neurosurgery and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Haridas has several clinical interests including spine surgery, epilepsy surgery and brain tumors.
Dr. Haridas received his MBBS from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Tamil Nadu, India. He did his residency in Neurosurgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery at Lurie Children's Hospital of Northwestern University. In 2012, he did a cerebrovascular fellowship focusing on cerebral bypass and aneurysm surgeries. All of his training makes him an unparalleled expert in pediatric cerebrovascular diseases.
Dr. Haridas has several research interests that he has published and presented on including Stroke, Epilepsy and Aneurysms. His research is also part of his desire to enhance pediatric neurosurgical care worldwide. In 2014, he was named one of the Top Doctors in Pediatric Surgery by Detroit Hour Magazine.
