Dr. Alan Curtis is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who practices in Waltham, MA, slightly outside of Boston, MA. He specializes in arthroscopic shoulder surgery and injuries incurred while playing professional athletics. He is continually researching new techniques that maximize effectiveness while also minimizing the recovery period in order to consistently bring his patients the finest and most technologically advanced care possible.
Dr. Curtis completed his medical studies at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and continued on to a residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He then attended fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute.
Dr. Curtis currently serves as the Assistant Clinical Instructor of Orthopedic Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine and serves as Medical Director of the New England Baptist Hospital Bioskills Center. He has also previously served as the team physician to the Boston Celtics professional basketball team.
