In a world that has become so cold, so sterile, so matter-of-fact, Effi maintains the human factor. Effi epitomizes what a doctor should be. He gives so much to his patients and their families. His hope and his positive spirit are contagious, and he has changed our family for the better. Cancer is a dark and frightful journey without many answers. He has been our guide, our compass through these tough three years. He has helped us brace for the bumps in the road. He has been with us during the good times, and he has helped us cope with the hard times. He is the most human, caring doctor we have ever met at Massachusetts General Hospital. It is with great pride, love and respect that we nominate Effi for this honor.
Great doctor that spends time, explains everything and shows care with his patient.
I trust Dr. Hochberg with my life since hes already once saved it. He has the kind of bed side manner you don't see from a lot of doctors. He truely cares about his work and his patients. I don't see myself as a medical record number but someone is good hands. He will take time to answer any and all questions fully and honestly, He makes you feel like you are the only patient in the world while you are in the office.
