Dr. Thomas DeBerardino is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery in Farmington, CT. Dr. DeBerardino is pioneering research on ligament, tendon, and cartilage injuries of the knee and shoulder and has authored over 40 scientific articles on these subjects.
Dr. DeBerardino received his undergraduate degree at the United States Military Academy and completed his medical degree at New York Medical College. After earning his medical degree, Dr. DeBerardino was accepted in to the residency program at Tripler Army Medical Center for Orthopedic Surgery. In addition, he was accepted into a highly competitive fellowship at the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research.
Dr. DeBerardino currently holds prestigious appointments/positions at UCONN Health as an Associate Professor and at UCONN Huskie Athletic Department as the Team Physician and Orthopedic Consultant. Dr. DeBerardino is an active member of very selective professional medical societies, such as the Arthroscopy Association of North America, ACL Study Group, Herodicus Society, and Academic Orthopedic Association.
