Dr. Howard M. Sandler is a board certified radiation oncologist in Los Angeles, California with more than 27 years of experience. His training provides him with special expertise in treating cancers such as brain cancer, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Radiation procedures that he uses are image-guided radiation therapy, intensity-modulated radiation therapy and stereotactic body radiotherapy.
Dr. Sandler attended medical school at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and then completed his radiation oncology residency training at the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently a professor and Chair of Radiation Oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center that specializes in genitourinary and prostate tumors.
Throughout his career, Dr. Sandler has written over 200 peer-reviewed publications on the topic of radiation therapy and prostate cancer. Dr. Sandler is a part of several associations including the American Board of Radiology, the Society of Urologic Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He was named on the Best Doctors in America in 2006, and has won the Castle Connolly America's Top Doctors for Cancer award for 8 years.
