Las Vegas, NV, the brightest city from space, has 15 of the world’s top 25 hotels, and close to 50 world class spas. Sin City, as it’s known to some, a city in the middle of the Nevada desert, gets close to 40 million visitors per year. Some are looking to gamble, others seek spa-like relaxation, and others go to shop, eat and celebrate at the endless shopping malls, buffets, and casinos. Though the majority of visitors do in fact travel to Las Vegas for fun, there are actually others who travel for treatment, taking advantage of perhaps a less known Vegas offering—healthcare.
Las Vegas is home to one very prominent medical institution—the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. This medical center is dedicated to effective treatments for brain diseases with its world class medical experts. Though this city doesn’t have a plethora of other leading medical institutions, it does have an abundance of leading specialists and top surgeons who perform procedures in Fertility, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic and Bariatric Surgery. And, as with many other things, Las Vegas offers a more affordable offering for patients than many other major metropolitan areas and patients can recover poolside or at one of the many Las Vegas spas. Perhaps this is why celebrities and international patients fly to this desert city every year to receive the care they need.
